Class of 2024 Ceremony Details

GOAL High School Graduation Ceremony 2024

 Durango, Cortez and Pagosa Springs 

  • Where: Durango Concert Hall @ Fort Lewis College:
    • 1000 Rim Drive. Durango, Colorado, 81301. Parking: Concert Hall Lot.
  • When: Friday, May 31st at 4pm: Guest seating opens at 3:15pm, ceremony begins at 4pm.
  • Graduates: Must be there and in cap and gown by 3pm.
  • Capacity: Each Graduate can bring 6 guests (If you want extra spots please talk to your counselor, info is below).

Important notes for Graduates

  1. Speak at Graduation: We will be accepting submissions for Class of 2024 speakers who wish to share their story. Talk to your Academic Coach today!
  2. Optional Rehearsal: May 30th, 2024, 2pm @ FLC Concert Hall: Must be there exactly at 2pm to participate in rehearsal. Can’t make it? Don’t worry, those attending the rehearsal will serve as leaders for the ceremony.
  3. Cap & Gown: Order link: https://graduationoutlet.com/cap-gown-and-tassel-set-shiny-finish.html.  Order Shiny Navy cap/gown/tassel and Gold charm for tassel. Talk to you counselor if you have any questions. You may decorate your cap appropriately. You must wear a cap and gown to participate in the ceremony. 
    1. To borrow a cap and/or gown request with your on-site Counselor free of cost!  

Important notes for Graduates and Guests

1. No Concessions: There will not be refreshments however, water fountains are available. Feel free to bring your own water bottle.

2. Mess-free: Celebratory materials such as confetti cannons, glitter cannons, silly string, or other items that leave a mess are not permitted in the Hall or on the campus grounds. 

3. Photos: A GOAL staff member will take graduate photos as they come off the stage but they will not be available for download until July from goalac.org. Friends and families are encouraged to take their own photos.

4. School Safe Zone: This is a school event meaning all school rules must be followed including weapon/drug/vape/alcohol free- see our student handbook on goalac.org for more details.
